Wanting

I don’t want to be right, I want to be heard
I don’t want to be good, I want to be helpful
I don’t want to be left, right or centre, I want to raise everyone up
I don’t want to be angry, I want people to talk to me
I don’t want all the answers, I want to explore the questions
I don’t want to be sad, I want to truly feel my emotions
I don’t want to talk, I want to listen
I don’t want to want stuff, I want to share what I have
I don’t want to live a life without meaning, I want to explore every inch of this gift
I don’t want your money, I want abundance
I don’t want your pity, I want compassion
I don’t want to be adored, I want to love and be loved
I don’t want to cry, I want to weep with abandon
I don’t want your war, I want to embrace our conflict
I don’t want a consistent view, I want changing perspective
I don’t want to live in the future, I want to be fully present in this moment
I want to appreciate it all in every colour and sound until I am at peace with the deafening noise

I don’t want the silence, I want to hear all your voices as you hear mine today.

We are wanting. What do you want?

This is what I am going to call an “elastic” poem. There are more lines I can add. There are more lines you can add too! Please feel free to in the comments.

I already have another…

I don’t want to be clever, I want to be kind.

I'd love to hear from you...
