Attention to service

London is buzzing today. Summer Sales shoppers whizzing around, armed forces brass bands and intermittent sunny, and hot, spells.
Another day to have a love affair with adopted home town.

I’m not the biggest fan of shopping which I know I’ve mentioned before and the intensity Scorpio moon has brought something to the surface on this. Something a future shop runner will no doubt come across:

Service. Quality of.

For as long as I can remember in my economically independent life I have had issues with service. I recognise that none of us enjoy such issues but for me it’s a trigger. So today when attempting to of a harassed and frazzled shop assistant I felt something fly to the service. Irritation, impatience, annoyance.

But this time I paid attention to this feeling rather than let it get hold of me. Not rationalisation about the assistant’s state but exploring my own feelings and where they stem from.

The South Node in astrology can give us an indication of these difficult default behaviours. This theoretical but entirely significant point, calculated analysing the placement of the current Sun and Moon to identify the Nodal axis (where the path of the Moon crosses the path of the Sun), represents where we have come from whereas it’s opposite, the North Node, indicates where we are heading. That is, universal guidance as to what traits we are here to work through and move away from and those to move towards. My South Node is in Leo. I have to admit (through gritted teeth) that that makes sense. “Serve me!” It whispers. “Pay attention to me! Do my bidding!”

Oh dear. Quite the uncomfortable realisation and one that absolutely contradicts my Sun in Pisces and Moon in Virgo.

But good news for shop assistants and future shop goers is that this means the North Node is in Aquarius, the sign of social responsibility, community and humanitarian pursuits. It’s my lesson and my path of destiny.

And a new attention to an old definition of service.

I'd love to hear from you...
