I’m “up north” for the weekend with the Aquarian and his sister and today we took her on the full Geordie Summer experience tour. Fellow North-Easterners will recognise stops on this tour: Woodhorn Colliery…Amble…Druridge Bay… as well as the obligatory activities of standing under any form of basic shelter during a torrential downpour in the middle of a moment of sun, a bit of plodging in the icy cold North Sea and flasks of coffee with Digestive biscuits in a the lush surroundings of a car park.
The tour continues tomorrow with other recognisable attractions (mainly involving a very long wall). The stuff of legends. Well certainly ours. And I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
In humble gratitude for all things Geordie…Man
