I went to say hello to the Avebury stones on our way back to London today. It was overcast, cold and wintery. Quite the contrast to the visit to the sparkling stones in the sun at Gem and Rock show last week. But regardless, when you see those stones appear before you they stand out. They have no facets, no shiny angles, no rainbow colours, only a rainbow of greys and they are beyond beauty.
I spent a few moments connecting with them, sending love and asking for their guidance. I took a picture in my mind for my later meditation. From their sanctuary to my own.
Sanctuary. Another watch-word. A word often used but when you fully connect with it offers up a sense of peace and calm. The Avebury stones project that peace and calm to me. It feels like you are entering an incredibly sacred space. A feeling I have connected with when entering Sacre Coeur in Paris, the further west coast of Cornwall, Chichen Itza, Tipon and the biggest crystal of them all, the Grand Canyon. In each of these places, I can hear a distinct vibration, a soft orchestral piece with a resonant theme throughout.
To me, this is the feeling of being enveloped by love. And it’s the feeling I hope to create in my space. Where people walk in and feel calm, and held.
This was the message the Avebury stones imparted so many years ago. A message released after meditating with a connection to them back in my own sacred space:
Create a space, with love.
Connecting with nature is a way to experience love, as you have blogged. Thank you.
